Christina Haack (formerly Hall) is finally addressing a question fans have been asking since her split from Tarek El Moussa.
In a PEOPLE exclusive clip from the series premiere of The Flip Off, the HGTV star, 41, has an emotional conversation about why she always jumps into serious new relationships after a split. She opens up to an unlikely companion: her first husband, Tarek, 43.
After revealing to Tarek that she and her third husband, Josh Hall, 44, have officially ended things, Christina tearfully addresses why she doesn't stay single for long after a split.
She shares that in the years following their difficult 2016 split, she’s been doing “stupid things” as a way to numb the pain.
“I feel like I try to hide and act like I’m not affected but then I just do more stupid things to try to make myself feel better,” she says during a conversation that sees both exes tearing up. “I just keep doing it and getting into things too fast that I know aren’t right.”

In a confessional-style clip, she notes how divorce was never something she wanted to experience, and how it pushes her to seek out new relationships.
“I never wanted to get divorced. I’m the only person in my family to ever get a divorce. So I just felt like it’s safe to be back in a relationship, but ultimately, that was not safe either,” she says.
