Royal Stag Barrel Select MTV Unplugged is returning for its sixth season from January 14, 2016 at 8 pm. In a bid to increase its reach in Season 6, the show will also air on MTV’s new Bollywood music channel MTV Beats and will also be available on Viacom18’s online platform Voot. 

The artist line-up for Royal Stag Barrel Select MTV Unplugged Season 6 includes AR Rahman, Badshah, Shahid Mallya, Amit Mishra, Shreya Ghoshal, Sachin-Jigar, Jubin Nautiyal, Jasleen Royal, Amit Trivedi, Benny Dayal & Neeti Mohan, Divya Kumar, and Siddharth Mahadevan. 

The last season reached out to over 34 million viewers across the country with episodes featuring artists such as Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Pritam, Sukhwinder Singh. Along with creating musical magic on air, the show also raked in a reach of over 47 million on digital platforms and a reach of over 17 million over radio. With the new season all set to roll in, MTV has lined up a whole host of 360 degree promotional activities, including radio, digital, print, cinema and brand associations for Season 6.

Madhvi Shrivastav is one of the most amazing Indian singers. She has performed with many renowned Indian singers like Sunidhi Chauhan, Sukhwinder Singh, Kunal Ganjawala and many others. She has also performed with Sukhwinder Singh on the song Chhaiya Chhaiya in MTV Unplugged Season 5.

Madhvi has also crooned for several commercials and TV serial title tracks like Kitni Mohabbat Hai, Saavaj, Tere Liye and many others. She was also a part of the music album FUTURE SHOCK by Bally Sagoo. She even did a lot of shows and worked for top celebs in Bollywood. At what age you decided to be a singer?

I have been singing since childhood. Firstly, I performed on stage when I was 8 years old.

Sukhwinder Singh, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik, Lata Mangeshkar ji, Asha Bhonsle, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal, Kishore da.

What does music mean to you?

Music is the divine way to tell beautiful poetic things to the heart.

What do you think of today's trending of remixing old songs?

Even I would love to sing remixes because people are really enjoying it.

What are your favourite songs?

Mostly old songs of Lata ji, Asha ji & Kishore ji and a few new songs.
